Jäger Trap Shooting

The Jäger have been trap shooting since the founding of the group in 1971. Over the years we have shot against several other German shooting clubs, including the Tuetonia club in Windsor Ontario and the Rhine Danube Sportsmen of Leamington, Ontario. Currently the group has three shoots each year - the first two are against the Sportsmen of Leamington, and the third is the King Shoot, which determines the awards and trophies for each year.

All of the Jäger trap competitions are shot in a handicap format. The first round, shot from the 16 yard line, determines the handicap for the second round (i.e., the second round is shot from the yard line equal to the results of the first round). This format tends to make high scores more challenging for the expert shooters.
